There are few better ways to begin the day than gathered around a breakfast table, surrounded by beautiful interiors, inspiring company and the excitement of something new.
Yesterday morning, French Bedroom welcomed an inspiring mix of editors, journalists, stylists and content creators to The Goring Hotel to celebrate the launch of its collaboration with fellow British female-founded brand, Their Nibs.
Set within one of London’s most iconic hotels, the breakfast provided the perfect backdrop to unveil the collection. Guests enjoyed a leisurely breakfast while discovering the new designs, learning more about the partnership and spending the morning immersed in the thoughtful design philosophy shared by both brands.

One of the morning’s highlights came courtesy of Teddy, The Goring’s much-loved Shetland pony, who made a charming appearance dressed in accessories featuring the collection’s signature Toile print, delighting guests and adding a memorable touch to the celebration.

Why Events Matter More Than Ever
As the media landscape continues to evolve, launch events have become about far more than introducing a new product. In an age where first impressions are often made through social media and digital campaigns, in-person experiences offer something far more meaningful: connection.
For brands, these occasions provide the opportunity to bring a collection to life beyond photography. They allow journalists and creators to experience products firsthand, appreciate the craftsmanship, meet the people behind the brand, and understand the inspiration that can't always be communicated through a screen.

For guests, it’s an opportunity to step inside a brand’s world. To see the details, touch the fabrics, ask questions and experience the atmosphere that surrounds a collection. These shared experiences create richer conversations and more authentic storytelling, something that remains invaluable in today’s fast-moving digital landscape.

French Bedroom’s breakfast at The Goring captured exactly that. Rather than simply unveiling a collection, it created an opportunity for meaningful conversations, strengthened relationships and offered guests a genuine insight into the collaboration and the values that inspired it.
A Natural Collaboration
The partnership between French Bedroom and Their Nibs brings together two female-founded British brands united by a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, storytelling and timeless design. The collaboration first took shape following a conversation between French Bedroom founder Georgia Metcalfe and Their Nibs founder Fiona Barber during French Bedroom’s In Bed With... interview series, where a shared creative vision quickly became apparent.
The resulting collection translates some of French Bedroom’s most recognisable bedding prints, including Navy Blue Toile, Regency Rose and Nostalgic Rose, into beautifully crafted sleepwear, dressing gowns and accessories. Designed in breathable cotton with thoughtful detailing throughout, the collection celebrates comfort, femininity and the everyday rituals that inspired it.
As French Bedroom approaches its twentieth anniversary, the collaboration represents a natural evolution of the brand, extending its signature aesthetic beyond the bedroom and into beautifully designed sleepwear that feels as timeless as the interiors that inspired it.
Looking Ahead
The morning at The Goring was a celebration not only of a new collaboration but of the enduring value of bringing people together. In an increasingly digital world, thoughtful events continue to play an important role in helping brands build meaningful relationships, create memorable experiences and tell stories that resonate long after the event itself.
