Design Moments That Stole the Show at Decorex 2025
From time-honoured techniques to playful new collections, this year’s show offered a fascinating glimpse into how tradition and modernity continue to co-exist beautifully in design.
Here are our top five highlights from Decorex 2025 that truly stood out.
1. Decorex x Natasha Mann
Decorex collaborated with the talented Natasha Mann, a decorative artist renowned for her use of traditional techniques, to design their bold 2025 creative. Her creations span intricate interior panels, murals, and ceilings, as well as smaller decorative objects and framed artworks.
Her work brings decorative design to life through exquisite craftsmanship. Each of Natasha’s pieces is made using natural materials and time-honoured methods: hand-ground pigments mixed with egg tempera and finished with 24-carat gold leaf. Every geometric pattern is drawn meticulously by hand, using just a compass and ruler.

2. Curiousa: Pastello Lighting Collection
Award-winning British lighting studio Curiousa unveiled Pastello, a playful new bathroom wall lighting collection that transforms daily rituals into joyful, luminous experiences. Blending functionality with mood-enhancing design, Pastello offers both task lighting and a warm, ambient glow, making bathrooms feel like serene sanctuaries.
Each piece is handcrafted in the brand’s Derbyshire studio, available in an exquisite palette of eleven ceramics and twenty-two glass colours. It’s a perfect example of how thoughtful design can elevate even the most everyday moments.

3. Robert Radcliffe: Re-Thatched
One of the most intriguing conceptual projects at Decorex this year came from Robert Radcliffe. His research-led project, Re-Thatched, explores the craft of thatching across the UK, examining its materials, methods, and cultural significance and reimagines it within contemporary furniture design.
The result? A striking thatched shelf that captures the tactile beauty and texture of traditional roofs, transformed into a modern, sculptural object. Each angle reveals new perspectives on heritage craft, connecting the past and present in a truly original way.

4. Brick House Design: Mermaid and Whale Wallpaper
Brick House Design brought a touch of whimsy and nostalgia with its Mermaid and Whale wallpaper, originally designed by Edward Bawden. The print is now available to order in its original colourway, alongside a few sensitively updated new options.
The playful maritime motifs evoke mid-century charm, making them perfect for statement walls, lampshades, or cushions. It’s a design that captures both imagination and heritage, a true delight for pattern lovers.

5. Margot Selby: Dopamine Décor Rugs
To round off our highlights, Margot Selby’s bright, mood-lifting rugs brought a burst of colour and joy to the show floor. The Jewel rug in particular stood out, a bold composition of rings, dots, and leaf-like motifs that dance across rich hues of pink, blue, green, and gold. It’s pure dopamine décor: vibrant, energising, and designed to make you smile every time you walk into the room.
