Across showrooms and collections, brands are embracing bold design languages and artisanal techniques to create interiors filled with personality. From heritage wallcoverings and globally inspired textiles to hand-crafted furniture and statement basins, SS26 highlights how pattern and colour continue to shape contemporary interiors.
Cole & Son: Heritage Wallcoverings Meet Fashion
The design house of Cole & Son has been creating original and exceptional wallcoverings since 1875. For 2026, Cole & Son presents a striking collaboration translating the distinctive design language of iconic British fashion house Vivienne Westwood, including the famous ‘Squiggle’ print, Tartan, and Union Jack motifs, into a new wallpaper collection. This partnership reimagines archive runway designs as luxury wallcoverings, merging punk-inspired, historical, and avant-garde aesthetics. Key patterns in the collection include hand-drawn designs by Vivienne herself and, in some cases, the use of block print styles. The collection is characterised by a blend of historical reference and contemporary, avant-garde design. It is created to transform interior spaces into expressive, artistic, and culturally rich environments.

Birdie Fortescue: A Celebration of Spring
British interiors brand Birdie Fortescue is known for its globally inspired collections spanning furniture, lighting and textiles. Designed in Norfolk and crafted by artisans across the UK and beyond, the brand creates pieces that feel both unique and timeless.
The Vasanti SS26 collection awakens spring with a sense of abundance, joy, and renewal. Inspired by the Sanskrit word for springtime, it pairs vivid lattice, geometric, and floral patterns with sumptuous textures, crafting pieces that move effortlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. Handcrafted rattan furniture, sculptural lighting, garden seating, textured rugs, and decorative accessories come alive with a fresh, vibrant energy – it’s where artistry meets liveable elegance.

Julian Chichester: Craftsmanship with a Contemporary Edge
Renowned for distinctive furniture and meticulous detailing, Julian Chichester draws inspiration from classic English furniture-making while embracing innovation. The brand has earned a strong reputation among interior designers for its quality craftsmanship, decorative finishes and original designs.
For SS26, Julian Chichester has partnered with British designer Angel O’Donnell on a capsule collaboration that weaves in an extra layer of creativity, uniting craft, curiosity, and character. Inspired by Brutalist architecture and sculpture, the collection’s bold proportions and graphic forms are softened by exceptional craftsmanship, featuring hand-cut marquetry, layered gesso, and a striking flash of tomato-red lacquer. The range includes a cabinet, drinks cabinet, coffee table, and console, each piece designed to combine functional elegance with playful, imaginative details.

MindTheGap: Pattern Inspired by Transylvanian Heritage
Established in 2016, MindTheGap champions a life lived in colour, pattern and style. Drawing on its richly textured Transylvanian roots, the brand blends sophisticated palettes and historical patterns with a rebellious contemporary spirit.
The new Transylvanian Rhapsody collection is inspired by the multicultural heritage of the region, shaped by the land’s sense of wild romance and freedom. Created to mark the brand’s ten-year anniversary, the collection celebrates creativity, cultural diversity and self-expression. Alongside this, MindTheGap introduces Enchanted Transylvania, a new range of kitchen linens continuing the brand’s signature storytelling through pattern.

London Basin Company: Statement Basins for the Bathroom
Known for its richly decorated porcelain basins, London Basin Company combines traditional and contemporary craft processes to produce handcrafted pieces designed as the focal point of bathrooms and cloakrooms. The collection also includes taps, vanities and mirrors to complete the look.
For SS26, the brand unveils three new basin designs: Sienna, Cecelia and Margot. Featuring geometric motifs, delicate florals and bold stripes, the basins introduce vibrant character into bathroom spaces. The designs are complemented by three new mirrors, each offering a distinct style suited to a range of interiors.

A Season Defined by Bold Expression
London Design Week 2026 celebrated colour and pattern in ways that felt refreshingly new. Rather than using them in the familiar sense, we noticed them being used to shape the language of contemporary interiors. From furniture and textiles to bathroom design, this season will embrace richness, contrast, and individuality. SS26 is set to create memorable interior spaces that move beyond playing it safe, instead it is championing environments that feel vibrant, expressive, and unmistakably personal… and we’re here for it.
