Design Dreams Made Real: Step Inside WOW!house 2025

Last week, we visited the WOW!house 2025 at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour and stepped into a world where imagination meets craftsmanship. A true feast for the senses, this immersive showcase brought together 22 meticulously curated rooms, each conceived by some of the most inspiring names in interior design.

This year, the experience was elevated even further by Jo Malone London, the official scent partner, who infused each of the 22 rooms with a different iconic fragrance.

As we wandered from space to space, scent became a storytelling tool in its own right, a subtle yet powerful layer that deepened the atmosphere and brought each designer's vision to life in a completely immersive way.

From bold statements and layered textures to serene palettes and innovative details, each space told its own unique story. As we wandered through the rooms, we found ourselves captivated not just by the beauty but by the creativity and thoughtfulness behind every design choice.

Here are our highlights, a collection of the rooms that left the biggest impression and the moments that made this year’s WOW!house unforgettable.

1. The Facade by Adam Architecture

Before even stepping through the front door, WOW!house made a statement. Designed by Adam Architecture, the Georgian-inspired facade was nothing short of breathtaking. With classical proportions, intricate cornicing, and heritage lighting that cast a warm, golden glow, it felt like arriving at a grand country house rather than a temporary exhibition. The scale and symmetry were commanding yet graceful - a masterclass in timeless architectural elegance. It truly set the tone for the immersive journey ahead, offering a welcome like no other.

2. The Courtyard Room by Emma Sims-Hilditch

The Courtyard Room by Emma Sims-Hilditch offered a moment of quiet charm and familiarity. Designed as a classic British country house boot room, it exuded warmth, comfort, and understated elegance. Think worn leather, soft textiles, and that unmistakable sense of lived-in luxury.

The clever use of antiques and architectural detailing, from panelled walls to aged stone floors, made the space feel as though it had stood for generations, not just days. The addition of a waxed Barbour jacket and a pair of wellies was a delightfully authentic touch, adding both character and narrative. It didn’t just look like home, it felt like it!

3. Casa Branca Bedroom by Alessandra Branca

Stepping into the Casa Branca bedroom, designed by Alessandra Branca, felt like being gently wrapped in a dream. Drenched in soft blush tones and layered with luxurious, exotic linens, the room was unapologetically feminine in the most elegant and sophisticated way. Every detail whispered of Branca’s Italian roots and her deep love of classic beauty, from the refined silhouettes to the ornate trim and rich textures. The interplay of playful patterns, flowing fabrics, and warm light created a cocoon-like intimacy that invited you to slow down and simply be. It was both romantic and restful, a room that delighted the senses and lingered in the imagination.

4. Benjamin Moore Dining Room by Peter Mikic

Bold, joyful, and utterly unforgettable, the Benjamin Moore Dining Room by Peter Mikic was a riot of colour and confidence. Known for his fearless approach to design, Mikic delivered a space that felt like pure celebration. At its heart stood a grand, exquisitely crafted dining table, bejewelled with precious stones and demanding attention in the best possible way.

The mirrored ceiling reflected the vibrant palette and dramatic chandelier below, amplifying the room’s theatrical flair. Bold artwork and richly saturated walls brought everything together in a space that felt both curated and instinctive. This was a true showstopper, glamorous, playful, and unashamedly cool.

5. House of Rohl Primary Bathroom by 1508 London

A masterclass in quiet luxury, the House of Rohl Primary Bathroom by 1508 London felt less like a bathroom and more like a serene, sculptural retreat. With its soothing palette and tactile materials, every surface invited touch and calm. This was a space designed for ritual, a place to slow down, unwind, and reconnect. The centrepiece: a beautifully sculptural shower, paired with two bespoke bronze vanities that showcased exceptional craftsmanship. Subtle detailing and refined finishes gave the room a deeply intimate feel, as though it had been thoughtfully composed to honour the everyday moments we so often rush through. Simply put, this space felt like art, and it made you want to stay a while.

WOW!house 2025 is more than an exhibition; it is a celebration of imagination, craftsmanship, and the power of great design to tell a story. Each room offered its own immersive world, full of personality and purpose, reminding us that interiors aren’t just about aesthetics, they’re about how spaces make us feel. We left feeling inspired and uplifted and looking forward to the next!
